Volleyball Holds Dig Pink Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Research

EASTON, Mass. (October 22, 2020) - The Stonehill College volleyball team is raising money for breast cancer awareness through the Side-Out Foundation campaign this month.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and typically there would be thousands of volleyball programs around the country running Dig Pink volleyball matches to help raise money for the Side-Out Foundation.

The Skyhawks decided to run a Dig Pink Serve-a-Thon to help continue the work of the Foundation. Each player (and Coach) was given two minutes to serve as many balls into a court as possible, that number is then multiplied by $0.10 per ball to come up with a minimum donation amount.

If you would like to sponsor a player or coach and donate the minimum amount, that would be greatly appreciated. Any donation towards the cause is also acceptable.

Funds raised go towards the Side-Out Foundation's mission to do clinical research to help patients specifically with stage IV breast cancer, the most advanced form of the disease and the least funded area of research. Any support can successfully add precious time to the lives of those living with stage IV and give them more memories with their loved ones.
