EASTON, Mass. (April 21, 2023) – Stonehill College will make its Northeast Conference Championships debut when it competes at the 2023 edition of the Conference's Women's Golf Championships with the 54-hole event being held Sunday through Tuesday at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Stonehill, picked tenth in the NEC preseason coaches rankings, is among 11 teams set to compete for the NEC Championship over three rounds. Sacred Heart University is the defending champion and was picked first in the NEC preseason poll, receiving eight of 11 first place votes, while Fairleigh Dickinson was picked second with two first place votes and Howard University third with the remaining first place vote. Sacred Heart won its second NEC title in program history with a three-day score of 923 at LPGA International. FDU has won the title a Conference record nine times, including a Conference-record run of four straight from 2008-2011, having captured all nine of its crowns over the last 14 years. A Knight has won each of the last four individual NEC titles, including current senior Victoria Schroedl in 2022.

Stonehill, under the direction of head coach Nick Crovetti, in his seventh year, has three remaining players from the lineup that posted a runner-up finish at the 2021 Spring NE10 Championship, including senior captains Julia Dapron, who posted an individual runner-up finish and owns three top 20 championship finishes, and Emily Kase, who joined Dapron on the NE10 All-Championship Team in 2021 after finishing tied for fourth overall. Junior Hannah Pignato finished tied for 20th at the 2021 Spring NE10 Championship, while sophomore Mollie Thomas was part of the Skyhawks lineup at the 2021 Fall NE10 Championship.
