EASTON, Mass. (April 15, 2021) - The reigning Northeast-10 Conference Champion Stonehill College women's basketball program returned to court for the first time since winning the NE10 crown last March to send off its two seniors with a matchup against Roger Williams University at Merkert Gymnasium tonight.

Stonehill head coach Trisha Brown, in her 20th season at the helm, honored her two seniors, Madison Seymour and Jennifer Worden and their families during a pregame ceremony. The duo helped lead the Skyhawks to three NCAA Tournament bids, including the 2018 NCAA Division II Elite Eight in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, winning the East Region Championship and capturing a pair of NE10 titles. The Skyhawks posted 84 wins over the course of their career, including four in the NCAA Tournament.
The night also provided once last home contest for the two seniors, and while the result wasn't what Stonehill would have preferred, it was great to have basketball back in Merkert Gym again. It marked the Skyhawks first game since the 2020 NE10 Championship win over Saint Anselm College 403 days ago.
Roger Williams took a 60-53 victory over Stonehill tonight, holding off a fourth quarter comeback by the Skyhawks.
