EASTON, Mass. (February 26, 2024) Sophomore Tony Felder (Brockton, Mass.) was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week honor for the first time this season as well as earning his third NEC Prime Performer nod Monday afternoon.

In Saturday's 72-63 win over Saint Francis (Pa.) University at Merkert Gym, Felder scored a career-high 30 points on 10-19 shooting while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out three assists with zero turnovers in 34 minutes.

With the win, the Skyhawks (2-12) now sit .5 games back of Saint Francis (3-12) in the conference standings for the eighth and final spot in the NEC playoffs. Stonehill has two games left on its schedule with matchups vs. Sacred Heart and at Central Connecticut State looking to keep its playoff hopes alive.

Over the last three games, Felder is averaging 18.7 points per game on a 46.3% shooting clip from the field to go along with 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per contest. His career-high of 30 points is the highest total by a Skyhawk this season and the most since grad student Max Zegarowski (South Hamilton, Mass.) scored 30 in a win over LIU last season on Feb. 16, 2023.

Felder now leads the Skyhawks in scoring this season, averaging 12.5 PPG which also ranks 13th in the conference. He also leads the Skyhawks in three-point field goals made (63), free throws made (54), and APG, 2.9, a mark that ranks 10th in the NEC. He has reached double-figures 19 time times this season while reaching 20+ points four times.

Felder is the second Skyhawk this season to be named NEC Player of the Week, joining sophomore Chas Stinson (Charlotte, N.C.). Stinson earned the honor after recording career-highs of 23 points and 12 rebounds, notching the lone double-double for the Skyhawks this season, in a 59-58 loss at Rutgers on Dec. 31.

Stonehill closes out its home schedule with a Northeast Conference matchup against Sacred Heart on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Merkert Gym.
