EASTON, Mass. (June 2, 2021) - Stonehill College is saddened by the passing of John Leahy, who served as Director of Recreational Sports at the Sally Blair Ames Sports Complex from its opening in 1988 until his retirement in 2016.
John served as Stonehill's Director of Recreational Sports from 1988 until his retirement in the role of Associate Director of Athletics in June 2016. He was the first building supervisor of the Sally Blair Ames Sports Complex and played a key role in its renovation.
He is survived by his wife, Shelley, former Associate Director of Academic Services, and son, J.J., Class of 2014.
A memorial service will be held at the Chapel of Mary on Monday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m., to celebrate John's life.
