Women’s Tennis Defeated at Franklin Pierce, 7-0

RINDGE, N.H. (October 9, 2021) - Franklin Pierce University, ranked No. 34 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II rankings and No. 1 in the ITA East Region rankings, picked up a 7-0 victory over Stonehill College, ranked No. 2 in the region, in Northeast-10 Conference women's tennis action at FPU Tennis Courts this afternoon.

  • Postgrad Himani Mor and junior Liria Loria led Franklin Pierce's double-winners in the match.
  • Mor and postgrad Anais Geslin completed a sweep of the three doubles matches with their 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles. Loria and postgrad Estela Carra notched a 6-0 win at No. 2.
  • Loria, ranked No. 19 in the ITA East Region singles rankings, clinched the match win with her 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 triumph at No. 3 singles against Stonehill junior Steffi Antao, the East Region No. 10.
  • Mor, ranked No. 11 in the East Region, battled back from a set down to Stonehill senior Emma Markaryan at No. 2 singles, for a 6-7 (5-7), 6-0, 6-0 win.
