PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (September 20, 2010) – The Stonehill College women's tennis team picked up a pair of B-flight championships at the 2010 USTA/ITA Division II East Regional, hosted by Chestnut Hill College and Philadelphia University, today.

Sophomore Paige Frost (Brigantine, N.J./Holy Spirit) captured the B-flight singles title, marking the second-straight year a Stonehill student-athlete has won the bracket, by posting an 8-3 triumph over Goldey Beacom College's Laura Cure, 8-3 this morning. Junior Leah White (Walpole, Mass./Bishop Feehan), who captured the B-singles title last fall, added a B-doubles title to her mantle as she combined with freshman Kaitlyn Martin (Medway, Mass./Medway) for an 8-6 victory over the Southern New Hampshire University pairing of Catalina Echeverry and Kara Pease in today's championship round. It marks the second tournament title of the fall for the Skyhawks pairing after winning the B-flight bracket at last weekend's Salve Regina Grass Courts Invitational at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, R.I.
