Women’s Soccer Welcomes Ten to Class of 2025

Ten student-athletes to join women's soccer program

EASTON, Mass. (February 12, 2021) – The Stonehill College women's soccer team and head coach Alex Wilson '08 are pleased to announce the 10 incoming student-athletes for the class of 2025.

Among them include seven from Massachusetts, two from Connecticut, and one from New Hampshire.

"I am excited to welcome the SCWS Class of 2025!" exclaimed Wilson. "Throughout a recruitment cycle that presented new challenges, these players were positive and persistent and remained on top in the classroom and on the field."

Women's soccer saw eight seniors, including Ally Charette, Miranda Ciccarelli, Gianna Cokinos, Tess Erwin, Ellie Fried, Alex Giardina, Nadia Havens, and Kayla Henry wrap up their four years in the Purple and White this year. This group of seniors assisted the Skyhawks to two of the program's three NCAA Tournament appearances, including the program's first NCAA win. They also assisted the team to two NE10 Tournament appearances.

Stonehill wrapped up the 2019 season with its third NCAA Tournament appearance in program history in four years. In the first round of the NCAA Tournament, the Skyhawks made history by winning their first NCAA game with a 2-1 win over Jefferson University in their first meeting ever. Stonehill also made its 11th NE10 Tournament appearance after finishing second in the regular season standings. Overall the team posted a 12-5-4 record and an 8-1-4 mark in the NE10.
