EASTON, Mass. (May 1, 2019) – The Stonehill College men's track & field program collected three Northeast-10 Conference weekly honors from the league office this afternoon for their efforts in leading the team to the team title at its Skyhawk Invitational for the 11th-straight year at W.B. Mason Stadium on Saturday.

Junior Justin Ireland has been named the NE10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career, while freshmen Nickolas McNamee and Robert Lisi were named the NE10's Track and Field Rookies of the Week, respectively. McNamee earns NE10 Track Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this year, with his first outdoor award, having also collected NE10 Rookie of the Week during the cross country season as well.

Ireland scored in four events for Stonehill on Saturday, posting a first place finish in the 100-meter dash in 11.03-seconds, to go with a second place finish in the 200-meter dash in 22.54-seconds. He ran the lead leg of the Skyhawks 4x100-meter relay that finished first in 43.45-seconds and registered an eighth place finish in the long jump with a distance of 19-feet, 8.25-inches.

Ireland is a two-time U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-East Region performer, earning the honors during the 2018 outdoor season for the 100-meter dash and with the 4x100-meter relay, with whom he is part of a school-record performance of 41.71-seconds at the 2018 NE10 Outdoor Championships. He is also a two-time All-New England performer, earning the honors in the 60-meter dash at the New England Indoor Track & Field Championships with a sixth place finish in 7.00-seconds in February. Ireland also collected All-NE10 second team honors for the 60-meters this winter, also clocking in at 7.00-seconds for second place.

Ireland recorded a personal-best 60-meter time of 6.99-seconds at the University of Rhode Island in January. While it marks the first time Ireland has collected individual NE10 weekly honors, he has been a part of three NE10 Relay of the Week teams.

McNamee was also among seven event wins on Saturday with a first place finish while competing in the 1500-meter run for the first time in his collegiate career. He posted a time of 4:02.05 to lead a Stonehill sweep of the top three spots, and five of nine Skyhawk entries in the top ten.

McNamee is a three-time USTFCCCA All-East Region performer, earning the honors with a seventh place finish at the NCAA Cross Country East Regional, as well as for the one mile run and with the 4000-meter distance medley relay during the indoor season. He earned All-New England honors for the mile with a seventh place finish in a personal-best 4:16.38 and All-NE10 honors with the DMR after collecting All-Conference accolades at the NE10 Cross Country Championships in the fall. McNamee was also part of the Skyhawks school-record DMR of 9:47.24 at the BU Last Chance meet to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships.

Lisi was among 17 top fives for Stonehill on Saturday, placing fourth out of 14 entries in the hammer throw with a distance of 131-feet, 11-inches. Stonehill opens its championship season this weekend, when it competes at the NE10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Southern New Hampshire University, at Penmen Stadium on Friday and Saturday.
