NE10 Track & Field Weekly Report

EASTON, Mass. (January 29, 2019) – Stonehill College's 4x800-meter B-relay team that turned in a winning performance at Saturday's Branwen Smith-King Invitational, hosted by Tufts University, was recognized by the Northeast-10 Conference as its men's Relay of the Week, the league office announced today.

It marks the second-straight week and third time overall this winter, Stonehill has picked up NE10 Relay of the Week honors in men's indoor track & field. Stonehill's B-team of junior Jeremy Breen, and sophomores Sean Conlan, Jack Herndon and Christopher Lanahan earned their first place finish on Saturday in 8:13.11 – a mere 0.04-seconds ahead of Stonehill's A-relay team in the event as the Skyhawks swept the top two places in the nine team field. Breen ran the lead leg in 2.02.3 and then handed the baton off to Herndon for a 2:05 split for the second leg, with Conlon running the third leg in 2:03.5, before Lanahan completed the anchor leg in 2:02.1.

Breen and Lanahan were members of a Stonehill 4x800-meter relay that collected NE10 Relay of the Week on December 14, following a first place finish at Northeastern University's Howlin' Huskies Invitational. Lanahan was also a member of the Skyhawks 4x400 relay that collected NE10 Relay of the Week accolades last week after a third place finish at Rhode Island's Sorlein Invitational in 3:30.35.

Stonehill is back in action this weekend for the New England Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday and Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center in Dorchester.
