EASTON, Mass. (November 8, 2022)- Junior men's soccer forward, Jacob Woznicki was named to the Northeast Conference Second Team All-Conference team as announced by the conference earlier today.

Woznicki was an offensive powerhouse for Stonehill this season as he had a career year for the Skyhawks setting multiple career highs in goals (seven), points (15), shots (55), shots on goal (25), shots on goal percentage (.455).

His seven goals were a team-high and in the NEC, Woznicki ranked within the top five in multiple categories: goals (tied for third), shots (tied for second), shots per game (3.24-tied for fourth), and points (fifth).

Two of Woznicki's seven goals this year ended up being game-winners which included the college's first-ever Division I win back in September (Sept. 10) in a 1-0 win at the University of Saint Thomas (Minn.). His other game-winning goal came against the University of Hartford on September 17 when the Skyhawks topped the Hawks, 3-2.

Stonehill finished their inaugural Division I season with a 3-12-2 record and 1-5-2 record in NEC play. Despite being projected to finish ninth in preseason rankings, the Purple and White ended up seventh. Along with their two wins over the University of Saint Thomas (Minn.) and the University of Hartford, their lone conference win came against Howard University on October 13 in a 1-0 win. The Skyhawks also held the NEC's fifth-seed, Saint Francis University, scoreless in a 0-0 draw on Sunday, October 30. It was just the fifth time all year Saint Francis was held scoreless.
