  • Later in the first period, Stonehill found themselves in a three-on-two as Page put away his 10th goal of the season and 19th of his career as he found the left upper 90 with a strike from the right circle at 12:13.
  • Saint Michael's Foster cut the deficit to one, 2-1, with his own tally at 17:29 in the opening frame. Foster wound up and sent it past McKay with a shot from the blue line as McKay tipped the puck but it found the back of the cage.
  • Forty five seconds after Saint Michael's was called for their second penalty of the game, the Purple Knights' Narby stole the puck in the Skyhawks' zone and passed to McAuliffe in front of the net for a short-handed one timer at 1:56 into the third period, tying the game at two apiece.
  • The Purple Knights put away another goal at 8:51 for their first lead of the game, 3-2, as Sullivan crashed the crease for another one timer.
  • Following back-to-back shots from Quinn, Raei put away the rebound at 16:52 in the third period, to force the game into overtime. This was Raei's ninth goal of the season and 15th of his career.
