Billy Mullen is entering his first season as an assistant coach with the Stonehill College women’s volleyball program. 

Mullen comes to Stonehill after playing for three years as an outside hitter on the Endicott College men's volleyball team. He also served as co-captain during his senior season. Mullen helped the Gulls be named champion of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) in 2013, 2014 and 2015. In 2013 and 2015, the Gulls were defeated in the first round of the NCAA tournament, while in 2014, they reached the quarterfinals, falling to No. 1 Springfield. Over his three-year career, Mullen averaged 1.71 kills per set, 1.05 digs per set and 0.26 blocks per set. 

Also while at Endicott, Mullen enlisted in the United States Army Reserves and has continued to train as a Specialist, Combat Medic (68W). Mullen has also been a volunteer coach for Weymouth Little League and a volunteer with the Boys Scouts of America Eagle Scout. 

Recently, Mullen was a substitute teacher in the Weymouth Public School system and is currently working with Caldwell and Walsh as a laborer and assistant supervisor. 

Mullen is a 2015 graduate of Endicott College, earning a Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice.
