Stonehill Track & Field sophomore Michel-Ange Siaba and freshman Sam Anderson were awarded weekly honors by the NE10 for their performance last week. Siaba was named the NE10 Field Athlete of the Week after turning in a pair of top-five finishes. He won the triple jump with a personal-best matching distance of 45-feet, 11.75-inches - nearly a foot and a half in front of Harford freshman Christopher Fils (44-6.00) in second. Siaba also placed third out of 19 entries in the long jump, by clearing a personal-best distance of 22-feet, 1.50-inches, finishing behind only two competitors from Brown in the event. Anderson earned NE10 Field Rookie of the Week after being among the Skyhawks’ five top-five finishers at Saturday’s URI Coaches’ Tribute Meet as he placed fourth in the triple jump with a personal-best distance of 43-feet, 1-inch. He was also eighth in the long jump at a personal-best distance of 20-feet, 8-inches.
