15 FCS Football Standouts Named Finalists for 2023 Doris Robinson Scholar-Athlete Award

EASTON, Mass. (November 22, 2023) – Stonehill College offensive lineman David Satkowski has been named among the finalists for the 2023 NCAA I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) FedEx Ground Doris Robinson Scholar-Athlete Award by Craig Haley and StatsPerform.

Satkowski, the 2022 Northeast Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year for football, has been selected to represent the Conference among the 15 FCS student-athletes across all Conferences for the ninth annual award to be announced on December 12 and honored at the FCS National Awards banquet on January 6 in Frisco, Texas, on the eve of the national championship game. The award is named after Doris Robinson, the late school teacher and wife of legendary Grambling State head coach Eddie Robinson and presented to an FCS student-athlete who excels on the playing field, in the classroom and across the community.

Satkowski, an All-Northeast Conference first team selection last fall and preseason All-NEC pick this summer, was named a Campbell Trophy® semifinalist from the National Football Foundation (NFF) for the second-straight year this fall – the program's first two-time honoree.
