athletics. Nancy played three sports – soccer, basketball,
and softball – and performed with excellence. Her team also
did well under her leadership. She captained all three squads her
senior year. Her No. 11 basketball jersey was retired after Nancy
established all new standards for Stonehill College point guards.
She was the starting point guard on the first Northeast-8
Conference Championship team in 1983. Her basketball team won 20 or
more games her four years at Stonehill. Nancy was twice selected to
the second All America Softball team. A business major, Nancy, who
now lives in Weymouth, is a technical analyst for a Boston computer
company. Nancy played guard, goalie and shortstop and was
outstanding at each. Her softball team won three state titles and
Nancy was selected Most Valuable Player in the State Tournament as
a freshman. In her senior year, Nancy was the female
student/athlete selected for the Edward F. Martin Award. She was
also the MVP of Stonehill’s holiday tournament as a
freshman.
