20 Skyhawks earned a perfect 4.0 GPA, and seven were in season 

EASTON, Mass. (June 14, 2022)– Stonehill College has announced its Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the Spring 2022 semester, recognizing 260 student-athletes who have earned a semester grade point average of 3.20 or higher.

Among the 260 Skyhawk student-athletes named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, 20 earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. Women's soccer led the way with four 4.0 GPAs, followed by field hockey with three, and then men's track and field and volleyball with two 4.0 GPAs. On the men's side, men's cross country led the way with 66-percent of the team making the honor roll, with men's ice hockey next with 56-percent and baseball third with 53-percent. On the women's side, cross country and tennis had 81-percent represented on the honor roll, while swimming was second with 80-percent and volleyball rounded out the top three with 78 percent.

Seven of the 20 4.0 GPAs were from in-season student-athletes, including baseball's Billy Duff, equestrian's Hannah Lennon, men's track and field's Aidan Byrne, Nickolas McNamee, and Ethan Peck, women's track and field's Margaret Gallagher, and women's lacrosse's Victoria Butler. 

With 23 intercollegiate sports when women's ice hockey takes to the ice for the first time in 2022-23, Stonehill boasts one of the top athletic and academic programs in the country. A charter member of the NCAA Division II Northeast-10 Conference since 1980, the College announced that the athletic department will begin a transition to NCAA Division I as a member of the Northeast Conference on July 1 for the 2022-23 academic year. Stonehill has won the NE10 Presidents' Cup six times, all coming within the last 15 years. The Skyhawks have received the NCAA Division II Presidents' Award for Academic Achievement each of the first ten years of the program's existence of honoring institutions with an Academic Success Rate (ASR) of 90-percent or better. The Skyhawks' 92-percent ASR for the cohort period of 2011-2014 ranks fifth among NE10 members and 20^th nationally among 303 NCAA Division II member institutions, with seven programs earning perfect ASR scores of 100%. The College ranks No. 98 in the category of National Liberal Arts Schools by U.S. News & World Report and No. 94 for the Best Value category.
