Women’s Cross Country Finishes in Ninth Place at New England Championships

BOSTON, Mass. (October 7, 2023) - The Stonehill women's cross-country team competed in the New England (NEICAAA) Championships at Franklin Park Saturday afternoon as they placed ninth overall with 217 points.

Highlights

  • Freshman Kellie Harrington (Pittsfield, Mass./Pittsfield) led the pack for the Skyhawks in the women's 5K race, finishing in 29th place with a time of 19:24.3.
  • Fellow freshman Sydney Kalil (Milford, Mass./Milford) finished just behind Harrington, notching a 32nd place finish when she crossed the finish line at 19:28.9.

Other Performances

  • Sophomore Emily Young (Newton, Mass./Beverly) was the third Stonehill runner to finish the 5K, placing 48th with a time of 19:52.7.
  • Freshman Jessica Kenyon (Monson, Mass./Pope Francis Prep) placed 52nd, finishing soon after Young as she clocked in at 19:56.7.
  • A fourth freshman finished next for the Skyhawks as newcomer Molly Nyhan (Concord, N.H./Concord) finished with a time of 20:24.2 to place 68th.
