EASTON, Mass. (September 21, 2023) – Freshman Kellie Harrington (Pittsfield, Mass./Pittsfield) made her debut in the Northeast Conference weekly awards this week as the NEC Rookie of the Week after running in her first collegiate 5k race at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational at the Robert Dowd Cross Country Course on September 17.
Harrington notched a 21st-place finish with a time of 18:33.1 while the Skyhawks finished in second place as a team with 94 points.
Junior Emma Lawrence (Milford, Mass./Milford) paced Stonehill in the race to earn a nod as an NEC Prime Performer for her eighth-place finish out of 280 runners with a personal-best time of 17:54.6.
Stonehill is back on the course on Saturday, September 30 when they travel to Lehigh University for the Paul Short Run at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course in Bethlehem, Pa.
