Prior to the game, the Skyhawks honored their eight seniors: Mia Jackson, Leanne Durham, Emmy Dumaresq, Taylor Burnham, Meghan Lord, Emma Slade, Kara Moore, and Yara Fawaz. Stonehill College athletics would like to thank our seniors for all their efforts for the Stonehill women's soccer program over their careers!

Highlights

How it Happened

  • After a scoreless back and forth opening 15 minutes of action, sophomore Hannah Anselmo would draw a penalty at the 18:31 mark of the contest.
  • Stepping up to take the penalty kick would be fifth year captain Slade, who found the back of the net for the game's opening score and her first goal of the season.
  • Sophomore Rebecca Lancaster nearly doubled the Skyhawks advantage in the 44th minute, placing a header bound for the right corner of the net off a corner kick from Dumaresq. However, the Hornet's defense stood tall, making the save and keeping the game at 1-0 heading into the halftime break.
