Currently in his ninth season at Stonehill, Richard Hart brings nearly 30 years of coaching experience to Easton.

In 2013, Hart helped guide the Stonehill men's and women's cross country teams to their third and fifth straight Northeast-10 Conference Championships, respectively, while both squads also captured the East Region title and competed at the NCAA Championships.

During Hart's first six years, the men's and women's cross country squads won a combined eight Northeast-10 Conference championships and seven NCAA Northeast Regional titles, finishing no lower than second at either meet, and qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships every year.

Prior to Stonehill, Hart served as an assistant track and field coach at Northeastern University from 1999-2004.

Hart, who also serves as a track & field official, has directed several major events, including assisting with the 2006 NCAA Division II Championships and the first-ever track and field event hosted by Stonehill College in April of 2008.

In addition to his coaching experience, Hart also taught high school English, history and theology at Boston-area schools from 1981-2007.

A 1981 graduate of the University of Connecticut, he and his wife Rose reside in Norwood with their two children.
