Skyhawks To Sponsor "Kill For A Cure" On Saturday

Easton, Mass. - On Saturday November 8, the Skyhawks volleyball team will host their first "Kill for a Cure" program when they match up against Franklin Pierce at 1 p.m.

It is the first such event put on by the Stonehill volleyball program. Head coach Eric Snyder is thrilled about the opportunity, "Our team and coaching staff are very excited to host ‘Kill for a Cure' and we invite everyone out to the match to support this great cause and cheer on the Skyhawk volleyball team."

Money can be donated for this fundraiser in two ways.  The first is to donate a lump sum or donors may also choose to make a pledge of their choosing for every kill the Skyhawks hit in their match against Franklin Pierce.

All the money raised from this event will be donated to the Brockton Chapter of the American Cancer Society, an organization dedicated to eliminating all types of cancer through research, education, advocacy and service.

The fundraiser also serves as an event to honor and support those special loved ones whose lives that have been affected by cancer.

A victory would give the Skyhawks their first 20 win season in 12 years and guarantee a berth in the NE-10 tournament for the first time since 2004.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the match as a means of showing support for breast cancer awareness and the team.
