Skyhawks Fall To Bentley In Four Sets

Waltham, Mass. – The Skyhawks jumped out to
a first set win but were unable to hold on, losing the last three
to fall to conference leader Bentley 3-1.
Stonehill started off strong, moving out to a 16-6 lead in the
first set and finishing it with a 25-21 win.
The second set saw the Skyhawks take an early lead before falling
to the Falcons 25-22.
In the third and fourth sets, Stonehill fell behind early and was
unable to recover, losing both by 25-17 margins.
The Skyhawks were led by senior Katherine
Masson’s (Acushnet, Mass.) ten kills while
Erin Johnson (Centerville, Mass.) and Laura
Huselton (Penfield, N.Y.) had nine kills apiece.
Andrea Wirth (Mesa, Ariz.) provided 20 assists
and nine digs for Stonehill who fell to 10-7 on the season and 1-4
in the Northeast-10.
The Skyhawks return to action when they host Pace at Merkert
Gymnasium on October 4, at 7:00 pm.
