Rindge, N.H. - Stonehill volleyball dropped their Northeast-10 opener, a 3-0 decision to Franklin Pierce on Wednesday.

Junior Katherine Masson (Achusnet, Mass.) led the way for the Skyhawks with nine kills and three digs, while freshman Justine Thompson (Merrimack, N.H.) chipped in with eight kills and six digs.

Freshman Andrea Wirth (Mesa, Ariz.) had 21 of Stonehill's 22 assists. The Ravens came out strong, hitting .333 in the first game, and .254 for the match. Caitlynn Parnell paced Franklin Pierce with 19 kills and eight digs.

The game scores were 30-24, 30-17 and 30-25, as the Skyhawks fall to 0-3 on the season.

Stonehill returns to the court on Friday, when it travels to Mercyhurst to participate in the Laker Invitational.
