Manchester, N.H. - Stonehill's second two-match winning streak of the season came to an end with a 3-0 loss to Southern New Hampshire on Wednesday evening. With the loss, the Skyhawks drop to 5-12 overall and 2-3 in Northeast-10 action.

Katherine Masson (Acushnet, Mass.) led the Stonehill attack with nine kills, while junior Heidi Woerner (North Kingstown, R.I.) and freshman Justine Thompson (Merrimack, N.H.) each added seven kills.

Game one was a back and forth game that saw 12 ties and three lead changes before the Penmen pulled out a 30-28 victory, despite hitting .054. SNHU improved on their hitting percentage in game two, collecting a 30-25 win after hitting a match-high .429 compared to .069 for the Skyhawks.

The Penmen, who wrapped up the match with a 30-22 win in game three, received 13 kills from Brooke Lefort and 15 digs from Brianna Doucet.

Freshman Andres Wirth (Mesa, Ariz.) handed out 25 assists and added five digs for Stonehill.

The Skyhawks return to action on Saturday when it hosts St. Anselm at 12 noon in Merkert Gymnasium.
