EASTON, Mass.-- Sophomore Jamie Rood (Southbury, Conn.) registered 14 kills and 19 digs to lead Southern New Hampshire to a 3-1 Northeast-10 Conference volleyball victory over Stonehill Wednesday evening by game scores of 30-17, 30-22, 25-30 and 30-14 in a league match played at Merkert Gymnasium.

Sophomore Brianna Doucet (Danville, N.H.) added 13 kills and 15 digs for the visiting Penmen (8-7, 3-4 Northeast-10), who also received 10 kills, seven blocks and four service aces from junior Brooke LeFort (Cumberland, R.I.). Junior Kelly Scanlon (East Providence, R.I.) and sophomore Nicky Dumond (Tewksbury, Mass.) combined for 36 set assists for Southern New Hampshire, who also received four service aces from freshman Allison Murphy (Montague, Mass.).

Junior Rebekah Saunders (Gilford, N.H.) notched 10 kills and nine digs in the setback for the host Skyhawks (4-11, 2-3 Northeast-10), while sophomore Katherine Masson (Acushnet, Mass.) added eight kills and 16 digs. Sophomore Patricia Godio (East Rockaway, N.Y.) chipped in with 17 digs on the night for Stonehill, which also received 26 set assists and eight digs from freshman Kristen Hordern (Swansea, Mass.).

Stonehill travels to Manchester, N.H. on Saturday morning for a tri-match with host Saint Anselm (in a Northeast-10 outing) and C.W. Post (a non-league affair) beginning at 11:00 a.m., while Southern New Hampshire travels to Bridgeport, Conn. on Friday evening to take on Bridgeport in a non-league match that begins at 6:00 p.m.
