WALTHAM, Mass.-- The Stonehill volleyball team dropped a pair of non-league decisions to New York Tech (3-1) and C.W. Post (3-0) at the Bentley Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the Dana Center.

After splitting the first two games against New York Tech by identical 30-27 scores, the Skyhawks fell to the Golden Bears in the final two games by scores of 30-15 and 30-24. Sophomore Heidi Woerner (North Kingstown, R.I.) notched 10 kills and six total blocks in that setback for Stonehill, which also received eight kills and eight digs from sophomore Katherine Masson (Acushnet, Mass.) as well as six kills and 11 digs from junior Rebekah Saunders (Gilford, N.H.). Freshman Kristen Hordern (Swansea, Mass.) added 26 set assists as well for the Skyhawks.

Masson recorded five kills in the setback to C.W. Post, which came by game scores of 30-9, 30-20 and 30-14, while Woerner and Saunders each added four kills. Hordern notched 11 set assists as well for Stonehill, which falls to 2-10 overall on the season with the results.

The Skyhawks return to action Thursday evening when Stonehill hosts Post in a non-league match at Merkert Gymnasium beginning at 7:00 p.m.
