EASTON, Mass.-- Senior Doree Blanco (Warwick, R.I.) registered 11 kills and 11 digs to lead Stonehill to a 3-0 Northeast-10 Conference volleyball victory over Saint Michael’s by game scores of 30-15, 30-23 and 30-15 in a league match played Saturday afternoon at Merkert Gymnasium.

Senior Kathleen Riley (Melrose, Mass.) added six kills and five digs for the host Skyhawks (5-12, 3-2 Northeast-10), who have won two straight overall and have claimed their last three league contests dating back to September 21st. Sophomores Rebekah Saunders (Gilford, N.H.) and Sara Thompson (Millis, Mass.) each added five kills and combined for three blocks for Stonehill, which also received 30 set assists and six service aces from senior Liane Kilmain (Mattapoisett, Mass.).

Senior Kaitlyn Rae (Wilbraham, Mass.) notched six kills in the setback for the visiting Purple Knights (0-6, 0-5 Northeast-10), while freshman Amy Manougian (Rye, N.H.) chipped in with 17 set assists for Saint Michael’s.

Stonehill travels to Manchester, N.H. on Wednesday evening to take on Southern New Hampshire in a Northeast-10 outing that begins at 7:00 p.m., while Saint Michael’s heads to Smithfield, R.I. on Sunday afternoon to square off with Bryant in a Northeast-10 match that begins at 1:00 p.m.
