Medford, Mass. - Junior Ashley Lane (Needham, Mass./Needham) provided one of the high points for the women with her third place finish in the Tufts Stampede on Saturday.  Her 1:01.93 finish was just seconds short of the top time for the Purple and White.

Lane's top three finish was one of three for the women on the day.  Lane, a junior, finished the Women's 400 Meter Dash with a time of 1:01.93, claiming third place in the event behind Wheaton's Celeste Karpow (1:00.81) and UMass-Lowell's Tristin Johnson (59.57).

Lindsey Booth (Franklin, Mass./Franklin) registered the best freshman time in the Women's 1000 Meter Run.  Booth's 3:05.21 finish earned her third place honors behind Senior Catherine Beck of Tufts and Meghan Woods from WPI.

The final third place finish for the Skyhawks came in the Women's Distance Medley.  A team comprised of Booth, Jenny Gardynski (Everett, Mass./Everett), Hilary Curtis (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) and Kelly O'Toole (Nashua, N.H./Nashua South) finished in 12:46.81.

Freshman Colleen Carmen (Drexel Hill, Pa./Archbishop Prendergast) turned in an impressive performance for the Skyhawks, as well.  Carmen, a High Jumper, earned third place accolades with a 5'1" leap.

The women will return to action next week when they travel the Valentine's Day Invitational.
