CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Stonehill senior Dana DeIngenis (Cranston, R.I.) will look to become the first two-time women's track & field All-America in school history on Saturday afternoon after qualifying for the finals in the 1,500 meters in preliminary action Thursday at the 2007 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Johnson C. Smith University's Irwin Belk Complex.

DeIngenis finished sixth in her heat and 10th overall in the preliminaries with a time of 4:37.56, as she will advance to compete for the national championship on Saturday beginning at 5:50 p.m.

DeIngenis finished eighth in the 1,500 meters last May at the 2006 NCAA Championships in Emporia, Kan. to become the first Skyhawk female track All-America. She is one of four women in school history to compete at the NCAA championships in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track.
