MEDFORD, Mass.-- Both Stonehill outdoor track and field teams enjoyed solid performances at the Tufts Hillside Relays on Saturday afternoon, with eight individuals posting top three finishes and three relay teams combining for a first place finish and two second place performances.

Sophomore Keith Gill (Brockton, Mass.) led the way on the men's side by winning the 800 meters in a time of 1:54.40, while junior Vinnie Williams (Springfield, Mass.) was second in both the 100 meters (11.35) and 200 meters (22.70). Junior Derek Hebert (Rockland, Mass.) placed second in the 400 meters (50.00) and third in the long jump (6.38 meters), while junior Dana Burbank (North Andover, Mass.) was second in the 110 meter hurdles (15.84). Junior Brandon Beloin (Danielson, Conn.) and sophomore Thomas Woods (Medfield, Mass.) placed second and third, respectively, in the 400 meter hurdles with times of 55.24 and 56.24, while the distance medley relay team of Gill, Hebert and sophomores David Metzger (Ellington, Conn.) and Dickie Gerry (Bow, N.H.) won the event with a time of 10:29.59. The Skyhawk 4 X 100 and 4 X 400 relay teams each placed second in their respective events.

On the women's side, freshman Ashley Lane (Needham, Mass.) won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:07.93 to best Harvard's Clara Blattler, while junior Dana DeIngenis (Cranston, R.I.) was fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:18.29.

Both Stonehill squads return to action next Saturday morning by heading to Lowell, Mass. to compete at the UMass Lowell George Davis Invitational that begins at 10:00 a.m.
