EASTON, Mass.-- Freshman Daniella Granato (Concord, Mass.) posted wins in both singles and doubles action to lead Stonehill to a 7-2 Northeast-10 Conference women’s tennis dual-match triumph over Bentley Wednesday afternoon on the Stonehill Courts.

Granato posted a straight set win at number six singles for the host Chieftains (3-0, 3-0 Northeast-10) and teamed with junior Ashley Todd (Weymouth, Mass.) for an 8-3 triumph at number two doubles. Seniors Karen McAuley (Raynham, Mass.) and Susan Noblin (Raynham, Mass.), along with juniors Jennifer Arcabascio (Salem, N.H.) and Anna Walsh (Dennis, Mass.), each posted straight set singles wins for Stonehill, which also received an 8-6 victory at the number three doubles spot from freshmen Elise Clark (Spring Lake, N.J.) and Allison Bleakney (Lewiston, Maine).

Sophomore Lauren Ginsberg (Trumbull, Conn.) was a winner in both singles and doubles action in the setback for the visiting Falcons (1-9, 1-1 Northeast-10), as she posted a straight-set win at the number two singles spot and combined with senior Michelle Robbat (Winchester, Mass.) for an 8-4 triumph at number one doubles.

Stonehill hosts Southern New Hampshire in a Northeast-10 dual-match on Saturday afternoon on the Stonehill Courts beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Bentley travels to Pleasantville, N.Y. on Friday afternoon to take on Pace in a Northeast-10 dual-match that also begins at 1:00 p.m.
