Lopes Has Started Five Freshman This Year As the Skyhawks Stand at 2-2-1

Freshman Duo Earn Conference Recognition 

Easton, Mass. - Following a 1-1 week, freshman Alex Murphy (Weymouth, Mass.) was named freshman of the week by the Northeast-10 and classmate Sarah Hickey (Lee, Mass.) was named to the honor roll as announced by the conference on Tuesday.  

Murphy scored three goals in two matches for the Skyhawks.  The freshman had the lone goal in a 3-1 loss to unbeaten American International and two first half scores in a 3-0 win against Assumption. 

Fellow freshman Hickey made seven saves, including a breakaway with under a minute remaining to preserve the first win and shutout of her career against Assumption on Saturday. She improved to 1-1-1 in her career. 

The Skyhawks look to climb over .500 when they take on Pace on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at Skyhawk Field at 4:00 pm.
