Easton, Mass. - Stonehill College women's soccer seniors Lauren Boyd, Hilary Eckhardt and Alex Eckhardt have been named to the 2007 New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Division II Team.

Boyd (Sandwich, Mass.) started 16 games and recorded 22 points.  She notched 11 goals, good for fourth in the conference.  As a senior captain she headlined a Stonehill offense that scored more points than any other past team.  This is the second time Boyd has been named the NEWISA All-New England Team.

Hilary Eckhardt (Marshfield, Mass.) started all 18 games for the Skyhawks, extending her career streak to 49 consecutive starts.  She commanded a strong defense as the team's sweeper.  Hilary registered two assists in Stonehill's 3-0 win.  An outstanding athlete playing an unsung position, Eckhardt also received Northeast-10 All Conference honors earlier this season.

Alex Eckhardt (Marshfield, Mass.) has guarded Stonehill's net for the past four season.  Eckhardt, who served as one of the team's captains, started all 18 games for the Skyhawks.  She finished with 91 saves with a 1.18 average.  Her six shut outs lead Stonehill to eight wins and there best finish since 1999.  This is the second time Eckhardt has received NEWISA All-New England honors.

The Skyhawks finished the season 8-7-3, 8-4-3 in conference play.  They lost a 3-0 decision to Merrimack College in the first round of the conference tournament.
