Boyd and Eckhardt Named to Northeast-10 All-Conference Teams

Lauren Boyd receives All-Conference honors for the third time.

Easton, Mass. - Forward Lauren Boyd (Sandwich, Mass.) and Sweeper Hilary Eckhardt

(Marshfield, Mass.) were named to the 2007 Northeast-10 All-Conference team on Thursday.  The duo provided the offense and defense for the most successful Skyhawk team since 1999.

Eckhardt anchored a defensive unit that registered six shutouts this season.  Her efforts resulted in an 8-6-3 regular season record.  Eckhardt's defense kept the Skyhawks in every game.  All of the teams' defeats came by just one goal.  Eckhardt is an unsung hero on the field.  She played every minute of every game this season.

Boyd headlined a young offense that claimed the highest point total in school history.  She led the team nearly every offensive category. Her 11 goals scored ranked fourth in the NE-10.  This season she has received both Academic All-Conference and CoSIDA Academic All-District honors.  She was named Northeast-10 Co-Player of the Week earlier this year for scoring three goals in two games.

Lauren and Hilary will both be graduating in the spring of 2008.
