WALTHAM, Mass.-- Junior Lauren Boyd (Sandwich, Mass.) netted her second hat trick of the season, while fellow junior Ashley Bourne (Brockton, Mass.) added a pair of goals and two assists to lead Stonehill to an 8-0 Northeast-10 Conference women's soccer victory over Bentley Saturday afternoon at the Bentley Soccer Complex.

Sophomore Sabrina Cataldo (Saugus, Mass.) gave the visiting Skyhawks (4-3-3,

3-3-3 Northeast-10) the only goal they would need in the 21st minute on a Bourne feed, and Boyd extended that margin to 2-0 in the 25th minute on Bourne's second assist of the day. A pair of Boyd goals in the 32nd and 42nd minutes, respectively, sandwiched Bourne's first tally of the match in the 38th minute that gave Stonehill a 5-0 advantage at the break, as all three of those goals were set up on assists from freshman Kelly Regan (Mansfield, Mass.), who set a school single-game record with four total helpers on the afternoon.

Sophomore Kelley Harper (Liverpool, N.Y.) increased the Skyhawk lead to 6-0 just 33 seconds after intermission with an unassisted tally, and Bourne added her second of the day on a Boyd feed just 42 seconds later. Junior Meghan O'Brien (Stow, Mass.) closed out the Stonehill scoring in the 59th minute of action on Regan's record-breaking fourth assist of the day.

Sophomore Marissa Bramwell (Norton, Mass.) picked up her third win of the season in goal for Stonehill with three first half saves, as junior Alex Eckhardt (Marshfield, Mass.) finished the combined shutout with one stop over the final 45 minutes of play for the Skyhawks. Sophomore Sara Resler (Cromwell, Conn.) and freshman Allie McManus (Wakefield, Mass.) combined for seven saves in net in the setback for the host Falcons (5-7, 2-7 Northeast-10), as Stonehill outshot Bentley by a commanding 25-7 margin for the match in posting their largest margin of victory since a 10-0 win over Teikyo Post on October 22, 2004.

Stonehill hosts American International in a Northeast-10 match on Wednesday afternoon at Skyhawk Field beginning at 4:00 p.m., while Bentley heads to Lowell, Mass. on Wednesday afternoon to take on UMass Lowell in a Northeast-10 outing that also begins at 4:00 p.m.
