Michelle Kelly has been named NE-10 Player of the Week twice this season

 

Skyhawks Sweep Weekly Lacrosse Awards 

Easton, Mass. - Following a 3-0 week which saw the Skyhawks outscore their opponents 51-10, Stonehill swept NE-10 Player, Goalie and Freshman of the Week honors as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. 

Michelle Kelly (Mendham, N.J.) was named the Northeast-10 Player of the Week after scoring 13 goals and dishing out six assists in a 3-0 week.  The senior co-captain scored six goals and had an assist in a 22-2 win over Assumption, and followed it up with four goals and two assists in a 18-0 shutout win versus Saint Michael's last Friday. 

Senior Justine Ferland (Portsmouth, N.H.) was honored as the NE-10 Goalie of the week for the second consecutive week after giving up just eight goals over three games while making 15 saves as the Skyhawks went 3-0. In her best game of the week, Ferland made 12 saves in a 18-7 win over Southern New Hampshire last Monday, and allowed just one goal over the final 28 minutes of play. 

Freshman Sarah Galligan (West Newbury, Mass.) was named the Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week after scoring seven goals and dishing out two assists in three games. She also had two goals and two assists in 22-2 win over Assumption. 

Also receiving honors were senior Mary Maloney (Great River, N.Y.) and junior Liza Gross (Loudonville, N.Y.), who were named to the weekly conference honor roll for their play over the last week.
