Women Prepare For Two Weekend Home Contests
Easton, Mass. - The Stonehill Women's Lacrosse Team (3-1, 2-0 Northeast-10 Conference) looks to rebound from their 11-10 loss to the University of New Haven, with two home contests this weekend.
The Skyhawks will host the Franklin Pierce Ravens (3-1, 0-2 Northeast-10 Conference) on Saturday in their third Conference game of 2008. The women are currently riding a 70-game unbeaten streak in the Northeast-10 Conference. Earlier this season the Purple and White claimed back-to-back victories over the Merrimack Warriors (19-4) and Saint Anselm Hawks (19-3).
Senior Kristin Darrell (West Islip, N.Y./West
Islip) moved into third on Stonehill's all-time scoring list with
her 200th career score in the women's 19-4 win over
Saint Anselm. With two against New Haven, Darrell stands only
18 markers away from head coach Katie Lambert for second
all-time.
Michelle Kelly (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham)
passed Colette Carpenter (2002-2005) for sixth all-time on
Stonehill's scoring list. Kelly, a junior, scored twice to
bring her career total to 118 markers.
The Skyhawks are 8-0 lifetime against the Ravens, including last year's 23-0 win. The Purple and White have outscored Franklin Pierce 167-12.
