NEW HAVEN, Conn.-- Sophomore Michelle Kelly (Mendham, N.J.) netted four goals and three assists for seven points as a school-record 13 different players scored at least once in leading third-ranked Stonehill to its 65th straight Northeast-10 Conference women's lacrosse victory with a 24-4 league triumph over Southern Connecticut Saturday afternoon at Jess Dow Field.

The visiting Skyhawks (13-0, 7-0 Northeast-10), now 77-1 all-time in conference play, scored the first three and the final 11 markers of the first half in racing out to a 14-1 advantage at the break, and a pair of four goal runs after intermission sandwiched back-to-back markers by the host Owls (2-8, 2-6 Northeast-10) midway through the second half to account for the final score.

Sophomore Mary Maloney (Great River, N.Y.) added a hat trick and two assists in the triumph for Stonehill, which also received a hat trick from sophomore Michelle Salmon (East Islip, N.Y.) as well as a pair of markers and three assists off the stick of freshman Liza Gross (Loudonville, N.Y.). Junior All-America Kristin Darrell (West Islip, N.Y.) added a goal and four assists in the win for the Skyhawks, who also received a pair of goals and an assist from freshman Jackie Ladino (North Dartmouth, Mass.) as well as two goals each from junior Christa LaRocco (West Islip, N.Y.) and freshman Elyse Moreau (Middletown, Conn.). Senior Tracey Hoffman (Nashua, N.H.) added a goal and an assist for the winners, who also received single tallies off the sticks of sophomore Valerie Xenakis (Warner, N.H.) as well as freshmen Christina Knepley (Wayne, Pa.), Jaclyn Craig (Rocky Point, N.Y.) and Jessie Ragnio (Andover, Mass.).

Junior Allison Kownacki (Orange, Conn.) netted a pair of goals in the setback for Southern Connecticut, which also received single markers off the sticks of senior Allison Ahern (Farmingville, N.Y.) and freshman Teresa Monfredo (Shirley, N.Y.).

Junior Amanda McGeachey (Saco, Maine) picked up her 13th win of the season in goal for Stonehill with one save on the afternoon, while freshman Lisa Corso (North Bellmore, N.Y.) made nine stops in net for Southern Connecticut as the Skyhawks outshot the Owls by a 38-11 margin for the contest.
