NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.-- Junior All-America Kristin Darrell (West Islip, N.Y.) tied the school single-game record with nine goals and finished with a career-high 10 points as fifth-ranked Stonehill extended its Northeast-10 Conference women's lacrosse winning streak to 60 straight with a 20-8 league victory over 10th-ranked Merrimack Tuesday evening at Warrior Field.

The visiting Skyhawks (4-0, 2-0 Northeast-10), who improved to 73-1 all-time in conference play and have not dropped a league match since April 2000, scored the first seven goals of the match over the first 16:07 of action and 10 of their first 11 tallies of the contest overall en route to a 14-3 advantage at the break, as Darrell, who tied Melissa Gross's single-game mark of nine goals set on April 6, 2003 against Saint Anselm, netted eight goals before intermission. After the host Warriors (2-2, 0-2 Northeast-10) scored 2:40 into the second half, the Skyhawks netted four straight to take an 18-4 lead with just under 17 minutes to play in the contest, as Merrimack added four tallies sandwiched between a pair of Stonehill scores over that time span to account for the final score.

Senior Tracey Hoffman (Nashua, N.H.) added a hat trick and three assists for six points in the win for the Skyhawks, who also received a hat trick and an assist from sophomore Michelle Salmon (East Islip, N.Y.). Freshman Liza Gross (Loudonville, N.Y.) chipped in with a pair of goals and an assist for three points for the visitors, who also received a goal each from sophomores Mary Maloney (Great River, N.Y.) and Michelle Kelly (Mendham, N.J.) as well as freshman Jackie Ladino (North Dartmouth, Mass.). Junior Christa LaRocco (West Islip, N.Y.) chipped in with a pair of assists for Stonehill, which also received a single helper from sophomore Kristyn Gramzow (Billerica, Mass.).

Junior Amanda Simeone (Nashua, N.H.) netted a pair of goals and an assist for three points in the setback for Merrimack, which also received a pair of goals each from junior Amanda Poor (Ipswich, Mass.) and sophomore Lauren Leddy (Sea Girt, N.J.). Freshman Maddie Basile (Hampden, Mass.) notched a goal and two assists for the Warriors, who also received a goal from sophomore Kathleen Esposito (Simsbury, Conn.) as well as an assist from senior Jennifer Strachan (Bedford, Mass.).

Junior Amanda McGeachey (Saco, Maine) picked up the win in goal for Stonehill with a three-save effort, while junior Amanda DiNitto (East Moriches, N.Y.) made seven stops in net for Merrimack as the Skyhawks outshot the Warriors by a commanding 36-18 margin for the match.

Stonehill heads to West Haven, Conn. on Thursday afternoon to take on New Haven in a non-league match that begins at 3:30 p.m., while Merrimack hosts Southern Connecticut in a Northeast-10 outing on Friday afternoon at Warrior Field at 3:30 p.m.
