Indoor Season

2011-12: Competed in five races for the Skyhawks during the season. Posted a time of 9:25.34 in his first-ever collegiate race at the Jay Carisella Invitational (12/3/11) in 9:25.34. Finished tenth overall out of 18 competitors in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:07.57, a personal best, at the Reggie Poyau Invitational (12/10/11). Ran time of 9:21.84 in the 3,000-meter run at the University of New Hampshire Tri-Meet (1/21/12). Placed 16th overall in the 3,000-meter run at the Charley Torpey Memorial Invitational (2/4/12) in 9:18.97. Finished 18th overall at the Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) Championships (2/18/12) with a personal best time of 9:15.74.

Outdoor Season

2011-2012: Competed in one meet for the Skyhawks during the spring season. Placed 13th in the UConn Spring Invitational 3000m with a time of 10:21.05.

High School: 2011 graduate of Longmeadow High School. Four-year letter winner in track and field (indoor and outdoor). Three-year letter winner in cross country. Selected twice to the All-Scholastic Team in cross country. Served as captain in his senior year for all three sports. Holds school records in the two-mile (indoors) and on his home cross country course. Won the Freshman of the Year Award in track and field and the Coaches Award twice in cross country.

Personal: Born on August 4, 1992 in Longmeadow, Mass. Son of Brian and Liz McEvoy of Longmeadow, Mass. Has one brother, Kaolin (28). Lists favorite team as Stonehill Cross Country and favorite athletes as Steve Polito, Bernard Lagat and Leo Manzano. Majoring in Economics with a minor in History.
