The Gill brothers of Brockton, Keith and Kevin, went the distance for the Stonehill College men's indoor track team this past weekend. And thanks to their contributions, the Skyhawks ran to a runner-up finish at the Northeast-10 Conference indoor championships at Southern Connecticut State College in New Haven.

A senior, Keith Gill won the 800 meters in 1 minute, 57.18 seconds, and was also part of the 800-meter relay that won with a time of 7:59.15. He was honored as the NE-10's Athlete of the Year.

Kevin Gill was first in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:29.92, and helped the distance medley relay team, which included Matthew Meagher of Mansfield, finish first in 10:32.20. He was named the conference's top freshman.

In field events, Stonehill sophomore Joe D'Agostino of Canton captured the NE-10 title in the high jump with a leap of 6 feet, 4 inches. D'Agostino's mark was 2 inches higher than the second-place finisher. On Jan. 19, he set the school record in the event with a jump of 6-6.25.

Stonehill will compete in the New England championships tomorrow at Boston University.
