BOSTON, Mass.-- Both Stonehill indoor track and field teams opened their respective 2006-2007 seasons on Saturday afternoon by competing at the non-scoring Northeastern Husky Winter Carnival held at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Sophomore Torrey Price (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) led the way on the men's side for the Skyhawks, as he finished third in the 55 meters while a school-record time of 6.50 seconds. Senior Vinnie Williams (Springfield, Mass.) added a second place finish in the 200 meters with a time of 22.67, while fellow senior Dana Burbank (North Andover, Mass.) finished second in the high jump with a mark of 6 feet, 4 inches and added a fourth place performance in the 55 meter high hurdles with a time of 7.91 seconds.

On the women's side, freshman Bridget DeVincent (Attleboro, Mass.) was third in the mile for Stonehill, posting a time of 5:18.97, while sophomore Ashley Lane (Needham, Mass.) placed sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:02.72 for the Skyhawks.

Both Stonehill squads travel to Cambridge, Mass. next Saturday morning to compete at the Harvard Invitational that begins at 10:00 a.m.
