Madisyn Barone enters her second year on Head Coach Ali Maloof's staff for the 2023-24 season, being promoted to the top assistant for the spring season. Barone was hired as a volunteer coach for the 2023 season after a standout softball career at both the collegiate and high school levels.

She was a four-year member of Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) Softball team as a pitcher from 2016-2020.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics in May 2020.  During her tenure at SNHU – she helped her team to two NCAA Regional appearances. Her accolades as a member of the SNHU softball program include; 2019 Northeast-10 First Team, 2019 D2CCA All-American Honorable Mention, 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District, and 2018 Northeast-10 Third Team. She finished with a 49-20 record, a 2.21 ERA, 409 strikeouts, and 491.2 innings pitched in her decorated career for the Penmen.

Prior to SHNU, she was a 4-year member of the Silver Lake HS softball team in Kingston, Mass. and was named 2016 Gatorade Massachusetts Softball Player of Year as well as National High School Player of the Year.
