Delude Steps Down As Head Coach

Easton, Mass. - Stonehill College Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Brendan Sullivan has announced Tuesday that head softball coach Danielle Delude has resigned effective immediately.

"On behalf of Stonehill College, I would like to thank Danielle for her commitment to our student-athletes over the past six seasons," said Sullivan. "She helped the team reach some important goals and we are grateful for her contributions to the experiences of our student-athletes during her tenure."

Delude, who served as head coach for the past six seasons, compiled a record of 89-142-3. A 1998 graduate of Stonehill with a B.A. in history, she led the Skyhawks to its first Northeast-10 playoff appearance since 1996 in 2008.

A national search for her successor will begin immediately.
