Easton, Mass. - Danielle Mason (Salisbury, Mass.) pitched 6.2 innings of four-hit ball and Jamie Ippolito (Chelsea, Mass.) provided a key late inning hit to lead Stonehill to a 4-2 win over visiting Merrimack on Wednesday afternoon on Fr. Gartland Field.

The Skyhawks, which got 3-for-3 performances from both Stephanie Folan (Glen Cove, N.Y.) and Ashley Langlois (Ridgefield, Conn.) came from down a run on two separate occasions before taking the lead for go a Ippolito's double to right field.

Down 1-0 in the second, Stonehill evened the score on a Folan RBI single. The Warriors regained the lead in the top of the fifth when a leadoff walk and an error by Mason put runners at the corners with one out. Merrimack took advantage with an RBI groundout by Kim Richards, giving them a 2-1 lead.

The Skyhawks evened the score in the bottom of the frame when Lauren Rappoli (Wilmington, Mass.) walked and was sacrificed the second. Ippolito then followed up with a deep drive to right field that scored Rappoli.

After Mason retired the Warriors in order in the sixth, Stonehill combined timely hitting with some Merrimack miscues to take the lead. Langlois led off the inning with a single to third and then advanced to second on an error. A wild pitch and walk to Gina Vivona (Seaford, N.Y.) was followed by another wild pitch that scored the go-ahead run. Rappoli later drove in Vivona with an RBI single for the game's final run.

Mason got two outs in the seventh on two pitched before allowing a single and giving way to Ippolito, who recorded the final out to earn her fourth save.

With the win Mason improves to 5-3, while Stonehill goes to 10-7 overall.
