EASTON, Mass.-- The Stonehill men's tennis team picked up its ninth straight victory and third sweep in its last four outings by posting a 9-0 Northeast-10 Conference dual-match victory over Pace Sunday afternoon on the Stonehill Courts.

The triumph enabled the host Skyhawks (10-1, 6-0 Northeast-10) to reach double-digits in the win column for the third time in the last four seasons, as senior Matt Grabala (Bristol, Conn.), sophomores Jason Allegretti (Lincoln, R.I.) and Will Herchel (Hampden, Mass.) and freshmen Mike Mashkevich (Framingham, Mass.) and Mike Leone (Cataumet, Mass.) all prevailed in both singles and doubles action. Sophomore Dustin Marshall (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) notched a three-set win at number six singles for Stonehill, while Leone and senior Andy DeVita (Milford, Mass.) helped complete the Skyhawk sweep with an 8-3 victory at the number three doubles spot.

The visiting Setters drop to 5-7 overall and 4-4 in Northeast-10 play with the result.

Stonehill hosts Assumption in a showdown for first place in the Northeast-10 standings on Wednesday afternoon on the Stonehill Courts beginning at 3:00 p.m., while Pace will take on Franklin Pierce in a Northeast-10 dual-match next Saturday in East Hartford, Conn. beginning at Noon.
