EASTON, Mass.-- The Stonehill men’s tennis team won five of six singles matches to post a 6-3 Northeast-10 Conference dual-match victory over Pace Tuesday afternoon on the Stonehill Courts.

Juniors Mike Pelaggi (Dedham, Mass.) and Matt Hansen (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.), sophomores Matt Grabala (Bristol, Conn.) and Andy DeVita (Milford, Mass.), along with freshman John McGaffigan (Dedham, Mass.), each posted singles triumphs on the day for the host Chieftains (2-1, 2-1 Northeast-10), as McGaffigan won his match at the number three spot in three sets. DeVita teamed up with fellow sophomore Al Santosuosso (Reading, Mass.) for the lone Stonehill win in doubles play, as the duo posted an 8-5 triumph.

Senior Ross Charbonne (Bayshore, N.Y.) was a winner in both singles and doubles play in the setback for the visiting Setters (1-2, 0-2 Northeast-10), who also received a doubles triumph at the number one spot from the tandem of sophomores Paul Kosinski (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Diego Palacios (Pleasantville, N.Y.).

Stonehill hosts LeMoyne in a Northeast-10 dual-match on Thursday afternoon beginning at 2:30 p.m., while Pace hosts Bentley in a Northeast-10 dual-match outing on Saturday afternoon in Pleasantville, N.Y. beginning at 1:00 p.m.
