BRIDGEWATER, Mass.-- Senior Jay Londer (Philadelphia, Pa.) netted a goal and three assists to lead Plymouth State to a 5-3 ECAC Northeast ice hockey victory over Stonehill Monday evening at the Bridgewater Ice Arena.

The visiting Panthers (1-2, 1-0 ECAC Northeast) struck just 34 seconds into the contest when junior Deni Bojadzic (Gothenburg, Sweden) converted passes from Londer and freshman Chris Chambers (Crotfon, Md.) for a 1-0 advantage after one, and Plymouth State extended its edge with a pair of tallies off the sticks of Chambers and senior Mykul Haun (Alameda, Calif.) in the first 5:40 of the middle stanza. The host Skyhawks (1-2, 0-1 ECAC Northeast) got on the board on junior Chase Feole's (Windham, N.H.) marker at the 15:27 mark of the second period and closed their gap to 3-2 just 1:32 into the final frame on sophomore Billy Ninteau's (Litchfield, N.H.) first goal of the season. The Panthers gained a 4-2 lead with just over nine minutes to play on senior Goose LaCroix's (Moretown, Vt.) goal, but Ninteau's second of the night on the power play enabled Stonehill to creep back to within 4-3 with 4:56 remaining. Londer's tally just 1:01 later, however, provided an insurance marker for Plymouth State and closed out the scoring.

Chambers added a pair of assists to go with his goal in the win for the Panthers, who also received a goal and an assist each from Bojadzic and Goose LaCroix as well as single feeds from junior Topo LaCroix (Moretown, Vt.) and sophomore Pat Turcotte (Goffstown, N.H.). Sophomore Paul Reissfelder (Plymouth, Mass.) notched a pair of assists in the setback for Stonehill, which also received single helpers off the sticks of junior Matt Curran (Scarborough, Maine) and sophomores Frank Amato (West Springfield, Mass.) and James Florentino (West Roxbury, Mass.).

Freshman Mick Fitzpatrick (Lancaster, N.Y.) picked up the win in goal for Plymouth State with 29 saves on the night, while senior Josh Green (Mendon, Mass.) made 28 stops in net for Stonehill as the Panthers outshot the Skyhawks by a 33-32 margin for the contest.

Both teams square off with UMass Dartmouth in their next respective contests, as Stonehill travels to New Bedford, Mass. on Wednesday evening for an ECAC Northeast match-up that begins at 7:30 p.m. Plymouth State will then host the Corsairs in a league outing on Saturday evening in Waterville Valley, N.H. beginning at 6:00 p.m.
