MILTON, Mass.-- Junior George Cademartori (Warrenville, Ill.) netted a pair of goals to lead Curry to a 6-3 ECAC Northeast ice hockey victory over Stonehill Wednesday evening at Ulin Rink.

The host Colonels (5-2, 5-0 ECAC Northeast) overcame an early 1-0 deficit by netting four goals in a 12:29 span in the opening period, including two tallies in a 16 second span, to take a 4-1 lead after 20 minutes of action. Sophomore Matt Curran (Scarborough, Maine) had given the visiting Skyhawks (2-5, 0-4 ECAC Northeast) the early edge with a goal just 1:05 into the contest, but markers off the sticks of Cademartori, junior Robert Sequeira (Providence, R.I.) and freshmen Shane Kelley (Winsor, Conn.) and Jeremy Hmura (New Lenox, Ill.) staked Curry to its three-goal edge.

Sophomore John Durkin (Scituate, Mass.) sliced Stonehill's deficit to 4-2 with a goal 2:24 into the middle stanza, but tallies by Cademartori and freshman Andrew Broughton (Plymouth, Mass.) gave the Colonels a 6-2 edge after 40 minutes, as sophomore Anthony Zanetti's (Ludlow, Mass.) power play goal 9:16 into the final period accounted for the final Skyhawk tally and closed out the scoring.

Broughton finished with a goal and an assist in the win for Curry, which also received two helpers off the sick of sophomore Eddie Chlanda (Central Islip, N.Y.) as well as single assists from junior Bret Adams (Carol Stream, Ill.), sophomore Trevor Spiridi (Cranston, R.I.) and freshmen Corey Goglia (Warren, R.I.), Patrick Haley (Shelburne, Vt.) and James Pentecost (Marquette, Minn.). Freshman Brendan O'Brien (Braintree, Mass.) collected two assists in the setback for Stonehill, which also received single helpers from senior Craig Pasquantonio (Randolph, Mass.), sophomore Chase Feole (Windham, N.H.) and freshman James Florentino (West Roxbury, Mass.).

Senior Lenny Mosca (Ludlow, Mass.) picked up the win in goal for Curry with an 18-save effort, while senior Billy Petrucci (East Bridgewater, Mass.) and juniors Matt Gorman (Southboro, Mass.) and Josh Green (Mendon, Mass.) combined for 35 stops in net for Stonehill as the Colonels outshot the Skyhawks by a 41-21 margin for the contest.
